Time to start PACKING
The time has come once again for us to pack our bags and hit the road. This time we are Australia bound in search of the great barrier reef. Hopefully we will see some interesting stuff along the way as well. Be sure to check back daily as I will update as often as I can and dont be afraid to post comments if you like as well.

See Rock City

Nicole's entry for Sunday:
Last night we stayed at the Microtel in Chattanooga, TN. It was very nice and we got a good nights sleep from what seemed like our never ending drive from Houston. We had breakfast at our hotel and then headed over to the Tennessee Valley train station to ride the TVR train . It's a short ride, about 6 miles or so and goes through a very cool tunnel. Nathan's dad gave us a tip to pay a little extra for a "VIP" seat up front with the conduc
tor. We got to see all the controls and the great view.
After the train ride we went to Lookout Mountain for a FULL DAY OF FUN! And I do mean FULL DAY! We started at ROCK CITY and I didn't know what to expect but I loved it! It's one of the prettiest places I've ever seen. A huge park with amazing landscaping and views that take your breath away. Here's the website so you can check it out for yourself...

After a few hours of enjoying Lovers Leap, Fairy Tale cavern and many cool trails, we headed over to the INCLINE RAILWAY.

Now this was super neat! It's a train car that is actually slanted and takes you from the bottom of Lookout Mountain straight up the face of the mountain (73 degree incline) to the top of Lookout Mountain and Point Park, a civil war battle ground. We had lunch at the bottom of Lookout Mountain and then took the train back up to go to RUBY FALLS.
Ruby Falls is an underground waterfall in the middle of Lookout Mountain. It's amazing to walk in a cavern 1000 feet underground and find a huge waterfall inside. Ruby Falls is quite the touristy place. Without all the lights, you'd never see the waterfall but you sure could hear it. The lights for the waterfall are synchronized with music. Very neat!

ROADTRIP!!!!!!!!
Did somebody say roadtrip?.......Wow 6 states in one day. What kind
of award do we get for that? I don't have too much to say
about it. It was a nice drive but it ran a little long. Here are a few pics along the way. Oh and a Special thanks goes out to my buddy James and his wife Amy for letting us crash at their place before we started this trek.

Houston
We have made it through the first phase of our trip.
Counting Crows and the Goo Goo Dolls were great. We ended up leaving from San Antonio a little later than we wanted to and got to Houston just in time to freshen up at Jo's house (thanks for the awesome hospitality, Jo!) and then we were on our way to the Woodlands.
Friday afternoon was spent at the Houston Gallaria having lunch with Jo and Shannon and doing a little shopping.
Friday night we went to Traci and Jamin's wedding. Nicole sang and we had a great time with friends.
Here is a picture of the happy couple:
